I grew up listening to radio in the 1970's. At home, we had a small set operated through a PM 9 battery and the big Hi Fi in the lounge played with a PM 10 bettery. So, I was thinking at that time that there were people talking inside it and I wanted to open it and be part of the conversation. That is where my love for radio started. Later on we had television set operated with a car battery. You can now guess what I had in mind when I saw a television set with a screw driver in my hand. Anyway back to my radio story, even though I wanted to spin the discs as a radio personality, the love for reading the news was lingering in the background until 1996 when the bug of the airwaves bit me. Radio Mmabatho was where it all began, however the Radio Bop studio next door was calling and it escalated the whole game by granting me the opportunity to host Spectrum, a current affairs program in the weekday evenings. Since then I never looked back and I was already flirting with television to get the best of both worlds. I love radio and I love radio Bop

I have always been fascinated with radio from a young age growing up in Madidi village. My passion drove me to start the first on-campus station, Radio TNT in February 1992. In 1994 I joined the prestigious Radio BOP in Mahikeng. I made waves on that station with my co-presenter on the hilarious Midday Madness. In 2000 I joined Kaya FM until I left to focus fulltime on my motivational speaking career. In 2014 I returned to the airwaves with Capricorn FM and was poached by North West FM where I worked until early 2018. I bring humour & my unpredictable unthordox style of inspirational radio to Radio BOP
I grew up in Bapong the mother village of Marikana near Brits. As a teenager I listened to Radio Bop and was hooked , didn’t imagine doing anything else in my adult life. I got so inspired by the many legendary deejays of the station and really aspired to be a Radio presenter myself. I started off at Radio Veritas (Catholic Station) as a co-host then later on moved to Mix Fm Midrand based local station as a traffic reporter for the afternoon drive show. Of late I happened to be privileged enough to meet one the legendary faces of the then Radio Bop at a gym Hector 😀 who told me the good news that Radio Bop is coming back and here I am now I’m proud to be part of the Radio Institution that gave birth to the many legendary-voices that we all grew up looking up to.
A passionate African, music enthusiast & a leadership coach. I see radio as an opportunity to have conversations with strangers to make them family. Radio BOP is the first station that made me think that radio is possible for a black child. It brought the reality of radio to me when I wanted to be an announcer many years ago. I am excited to be part of the team that is bringing urban contemporary radio back to life. Catch me Fridays 18:00 to 21:00.
